Danica is currently pursuing her Masters of Psychology (Clinical) and working towards registration as a clinical psychologist. She gained experience working with clients of all ages in educational, clinical and community mental health settings after obtaining her bachelor's degree (with honors) in psychology. Her ethos as an aspiring therapist is in helping her clients to accept and overcome their life challenges and psychiatric conditions to make positive changes and lead meaningful lives. Her therapeutic approach is client-centred, collaborative and mainly based on cognitive behavioral therapy.
She has worked with individuals with adjustment issues, mood disorders and anxiety, ranging from preschoolers to the elderly within hospitals and community settings. She has also counselled caregivers who are undergoing stress in providing support for their loved ones with mental health struggles.
Danica also conducts psychometric assessments such as intelligence tests for children (WISC-V) who may require recommendations pertaining to their educational or psycho-social functioning.
She is also passionate about applied research in the prevention and treatment of mental health conditions and enjoys art in her free time.
